The Waterworks would like to ensure our customers that their water distribution system does not have any lead service lines. Dating back to 1971 when the original board members were given the choice to use piping made of cast iron, fiber glass, or plastic, the board chose to use plastic (PVC) piping and connections. All original piping and every expansion since 1971 has been made of PVC or poly materials as recommended by the Louisiana Department of Health. All information obtained came from the original meeting minutes for Cameron Parish Waterworks District #2.
